In 2007, Promotions West was awarded a contract from the San Francisco Department of Public Health Sexually Transmitted Disease Services to coordinate a Syphilis Social Marketing campaign targeting gay men in the City and County of San Francisco.

This year the contract was renewed to further educate the targeted community about Syphilis with their Dogs Are Talking campaign. Promotions West continues to make great strides in developing community partners that promote the campaign. We developed a campaign with DeLano Market to issue environmentally green canvas grocery bags with a bold message to get tested. In addition, the campaign has obtained great spaces in the Castro district securing attention to the campaign.

Local San Francisco gay bars partnered with the Dogs Are Talking campaign to display napkins with the Get Tested message, as well as urinal pads to keep things smelling fresh where it counts. Other promotional items developed include t-shirts, frisbees, dog bowls, dog toys, and leashes as giveaways.

Look forward to seeing the Dogs Are Talking message on coffee sleeves the next time you visit your local San Francisco coffee shop. We promise you a very exciting and innovative awareness and educational campaign guaranteed to make you stop, look and get involved.
